Hydropower Working Group

Lead:

Nick Stas, Environmental Manager, Western Area Power Administration

  • The Hydropower Working Group will monitor proposed actions of the Missouri River Flood Task Force (MRFTF) to identify and communicate potential impacts on hydropower operations and hydropower rates.
  • The Hydropower Working Group will also recommend alternatives that minimize the impact on hydropower operations and rates that will meet flood response requirements.
  • The Hydropower Working Group will also coordinate with Thermal Power on the Missouri River to review potential impacts regarding reliability and any potential issues with FERC regulations and NERC requirements.
